CNRT's political council structure support Gusmao to become PM

The National Congress for the Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT)'s political council structure supports their President Xanana Gusmao to become Prime Minister to continue his mandate until the end of the term and for another term.

Secretary General of CNRT, Deonosio Babo made the statements to respond to the political declaration of Fretilin which called on Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao to resign from his post.

 

Babo said that PM Gusmao together with the alliance party will work harder to improve and develop this country for a better future.

"CNRT from the national council structure together with parties followers down to the sub-village levels totally support President of the party Xanana Gusmao to continue assuming post as Prime Minister until the end of mandate of this Government based on the RDTL constitution," Babo said.

In response to Alkatiri's remarks stated during the Fretilin's congress last week, Babo said that criticizing people personally is not a good manner or method of developing this country.
